Airbnb only: The Canvas
The journey begins with artists applying for a 3-day, 2-night stay in our canvas-inspired modern rooms designed with blank walls awaiting transformation. Selected guests receive an invitation to inhabit these living canvases in New York City, bringing their creative vision to life during their stay.
The spaces themselves become both studio and gallery, with strategic lighting
and modular elements that adapt to artistic expression.

I created a series of illustrations for the Airbnb Canvas project that showcase modern urban accommodation experiences.
I used soft pinks, blues, and neutral tones to depict various traveler scenarios—from striking architectural entrances to city views. By juxtaposing interior living spaces, I've highlighted Airbnb's unique position between homey comfort and local immersion.

The left panels illustrate the "before" experience—environments with blank walls awaiting creative intervention. On the right, we witness the "after" transformation: the same spaces now vibrantly activated with artistic expression. The blank walls have become galleries showcasing diverse artworks, the triangular installation displays a figure in motion, and visitors engage with the exhibited pieces.
The Canvas Project transforms conventional hotel stays into artistic opportunities by inviting artists to inhabit and create within designed spaces. This innovative model bridges the gap between creation and visibility, offering emerging artists valuable exposure while providing visitors with authentic artistic narratives and experiences.
